My Quilt

I finished this quilt over the weekend by putting a backing onto it and filling it, and it looks adorable! I just need to get some cute buttons or ribbon and tie it off. I wanted to put these pics up, and I have more from the process that I will put up as well.

Happy Easter fellow bloggers! I know its been a little while, but I wanted to post a picture of the card I made. The dogs were crazy and not very cooperative but I did my best. Here is a picture of the front of my card! Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter!!

Summer planter box

After a failed atempt at an indoor herb garden, I decided to move the planter box outside and try some summer flowers. I planted marigolds and zinnias from seed. I will keep you updated- no clue how this will go, just thought I would try! I will keep you updated :)

Hello again blog!

I have not been very good about paying attention to my blog! I have been very busy these past couple weeks with work and school stuff. I am working for a family with a 2 year old and 10 month old girls, and they keep me busy! I have also been finishing my nursing school applications and am going to be taking the NET in two weeks! Very exciting! After the NET exam, I am waiting for my name to be called so I can begin!

Even though I have not been posting, I have still been working on some projects. I will post some pictures later, but here is some of what I have been doing:

- I found a really cute dress that I am trying to copy, so I will keep you updated on how that goes! I am feeling more comfortable with my sewing machine now so I am excited to try the dress!

-I am also crocheting a big lounging blanket. I taught myself how to crochet, and so far it is going well! Much easier than knitting in my opinion!

Canvas paintings

About a year ago, my mom had a giant painting of our family's black lab Scout. The painter used funky colors and I always thought it was so cool! Ryan, my best friend Lauren and I decided to try and do some paintings of our dogs, and this is how they turned out! Ruby still doesn't have a mouth :( I cant figure out how I am going to do it!! Anyways- here is what they look like so far. Painting was a really fun thing for us to do together.

First sewing machine!

Yesterday I got my first sewing machine! I bought it used from someone for a great deal. I think its so cute- I love the color! I went out and got some fabric after work yesterday and can't wait to start on my first project! I think its going to be an apron :)

A little introduction...

I would like to introduce you to my loved ones! First, there is Ryan, my boyfriend. He is a student at Arizona State University, studying construction and sustainability and I am very proud of him! You also need to meet the pups! Ruby Sunshine is a two year old Yorkie, and is very full of spunk. She loves going to the dog park and rides in the car. Oakley is a 10 month old Weimaraner, and is a spaz! These pictures are from out Spring Break 2009 camping trip! We went to Bull Pen in the Verde Valley. It was so much fun, and Oakley had the chance to learn to swim!
